The Elimination Chamber awaits 7 main-event level superstars to eat and spit them out at the same night, with the proverbial, “no one leaves the same, again” tagline attached to it. The special thing about this year’s Chamber match is that the women will also be involved in the Chamber match. So, two chamber matches, 13 participants, let’s get the preview rolling. Below is the updated card for the PPV.
|1P||Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel)
|Tag team match|
|2||Braun Strowman vs. Elias vs. Finn Bálor vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. The Miz||7-Men Elimination Chamber match for a WWE Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 34|
|3||Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley vs. Mandy Rose vs. Mickie James vs. Sasha Banks vs. Sonya Deville||Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship|
|4||Asuka vs. Nia Jax||Singles Match; If Jax wins, she will be added to Asuka’s championship match at WrestleMania 34|
|5||“Woken” Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt||Singles match|
|6||Cesaro and Sheamus (c) vs. Titus Worldwide (Apollo and Titus O’Neil) (with Dana Brooke)||Tag team match for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship|
| · (c) – refers to the champion(s) heading into the match
· P – indicates the match will take place on the pre-show
Starting with the first match on the pre-show.
1. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs. The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel)
It’s just what it is. A filler match to fill the spot and kill some time. What problem do these two have with each other? None. Let’s move on.
The main card matches
2. Cesaro and Sheamus (c) vs. Titus Worldwide (Apollo and Titus O’Neil) (with Dana Brooke)
These two teams have faced each other twice in the previous month with the Titus Worldwide getting “upset” wins over The Bar. The reason I say upset within “” is because WWE hasn’t made Titus Worldwide believable to a point where we would think that they could win. It is not even the story of two underdogs, they just don’t give a damn about these two. What does the “worldwide” in Titus Worldwide stand for? Worldwide failure? I don’t know. The match is forced. They are misusing Apollo.
Verdict: The Bar
3. “Woken” Matt Hardy vs. Bray Wyatt
I guess I’d be laughing while watching because that’s the whole backstory of it. Oh! wait, there’s no backstory to this match. I don’t know why they’re feuding. I guess it makes more sense to make a Wyatt and “Woken” Hardy feud than anything else. Filler match.
Verdict: As Bray Wyatt is the Eater of the Pinfalls now, so it is Hardy. Maybe Jeff returns.
4. Asuka vs. Nia Jax (If Nia wins she gets added to the match of Asuka’s choosing)
I guess they needed something for Asuka to do in the show. Asuka and Nia have given us decent matches and considering this a PPV, I see nothing different. The last time Asuka defeated Nia via pinfall or submission was back in NXT.
Verdict: Ain’t no way Asuka is losing. Expect a fuck finish. A DQ win for Asuka, maybe
5. Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley vs. Mandy Rose vs. Mickie James vs. Sasha Banks vs. Sonya Deville
Oh god! The Nightmare. A chamber match for the women. What more? Iron Woman match, Hell In A Cell, MITB, Royal Rumble and now the Elimination Chamber. I had the unfortunate luck of watching the last Monday’s 6-women tag match. I saw Mandy and Soniya botch their ass off during the entire match. Mandy Rose to be exact.
Let’s see what happens. Their obsession with these” first ever’s” is going to hurt someone someday very badly.
Verdict: Sasha Banks leaves the Chamber with the strap. I don’t see anybody having any sort of momentum other than Bayley to even be in the discussion.
6. Braun Strowman vs. Elias vs. Finn Bálor vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. The Miz
Verdict: Roman Reigns is winning it, drug scandal or not.
